Kentucky’s Most Legendary Golf Event Turns 20 Oct. 2
Kentucky’s Most Legendary Golf Event Turns 20 when the Texas Roadhouse Armadillo Classic hits the links at Quail Chase Golf Club in Louisville on Wednesday, October 2. One of the most exciting, fun-filled golf events on the calendar, the Texas Roadhouse Armadillo Classic is one of the biggest fundraising events of the year and represents the single largest corporate support of our program.
The Armadillo Classic will again offer two flights this year. The day gets underway with registration and donuts beginning at 7 am. The morning flight tees off at 8 am. As the morning golfers come in and the afternoon golfers begin to arrive and register, all the golfers will be treated to a legendary lunch provided by Texas Roadhouse and Jaggers. Lunchtime will also include recognitions, awards and door prizes as well as a brief Special Olympics presentation.
The afternoon flight heads out after lunch at 2 pm.
In addition to golf and lunch, the cost of a foursome includes beverages throughout the day and there will be on-course prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin and others. There will be opportunities to meet Special Olympics athletes on the course and even receive a helping hand from an athlete or maybe two.
The cost for a foursome is $1,000 this year and sponsorship opportunities are also still available. The Texas Roadhouse Armadillo Classic sells out every year, so buy early to reserve your place on the course for this legendary event.
All funds raised benefit Special Olympics Kentucky.
The Texas Roadhouse Armadillo Classic has raised more than $2 million for Special Olympics in its first 19 years, making Texas Roadhouse a Special Olympics Kentucky year-round partner and our largest single supporter. In addition to the Armadillo Classic, many Texas Roadhouse restaurants support Special Olympics Kentucky through events like the Polar Plunge, Big Brown Truck Pull, Plane Pull or Law Enforcement Torch Run Tip-A-Cop events.
