Bachman Subaru Makes $40,000 Donation to SOKY

Contribution Results from 2016 Share the Love Event

For the fourth consecutive year, Bachman Subaru in Louisville chose to include Special Olympics Kentucky as a local option in the annual Subaru Share the love Holiday promotion. The promotion allows people who purchase a new Subaru from Bachman during the Holiday season to designate $250 of the sale price to one of a group of participating organizations. Each year since Bachman first included Special Olympics Kentucky, their Share the Love donation to Special Olympics has grown. This year was no different.

Bachman Subaru General Manager (and Special Olympics Kentucky parent and coach) Jeff Harmon and Bachman Auto Group Manager Andrew Norton joined us at our State Basketball Tournament in March to present this year’s donation, which totaled a record $40,002.55. The donation brought Bachman’s four-year support of Special Olympics Kentucky to more than $90,000.

This year’s¬†support helped offset the cost of the State Basketball Tournament and supported the Louisville Polar Plunge — which raised an additional $150,000. Remaining funds helped support Special Olympics Kentucky’s year round sports, health and school community building programs.

We are deeply grateful for Bachman Subaru’s continued, generous support of Special Olympics Kentucky athletes and we hope if you are looking for a new vehicle that you consider our friends at Bachman for your next purchase.
