Return to Play Guidance Available for Bowling & Flag Football

SOKY Athletes Continue to Slowly Return to Safe Competition

Like everything else in 2020, the SOKY bowling season will look a little different.

On the heels of successful – though smaller – golf and softball seasons, athletes across the state are looking to prepare for the next round of sports they can safely compete in. Return to Play procedures are now available for both bowling and flag football.

Bowling teams were eligible to start practice beginning on August 15 and the opportunity for flag football training opened on August 28. Just as was the case for golf and softball, any activity requires temperature checks, tracking of attendees, social distancing and mandatory face coverings except during actual competition. Participants are also expected to adhere to any additional guidelines set forth by the host facility.

Teams will also have to adhere to all other Special Olympics COVID-related protocols.
