Wellness Wednesdays To Continue Through June

Wellness WednesdaySpecial Olympics Kentucky and the Kentucky Inclusive Health Collaborative will continue the current run of Wellness Wednesdays seminars through June. The program, which provides information on exercise, healthy diet and other healthy lifestyle choices returned in January and was originally scheduled to run through April.

Session are offered every other Wednesday beginning at 1 pm. They are led by Special Olympics Athlete Leaders with the support of a clinical director or by Kentucky Inclusive Health Collaborative staff. Every session will start at 1 pm (ET) and will last about 30 minutes. They will be presented via Zoom and you must register in advance. You only need to register once and you will receive reminders for the remaining sessions.

“We’re very excited about this opportunity to work with the Kentucky Inclusive Health Collaborative to produce Wellness Wednesdays,” said Special Olympics Kentucky Vice President of Field and Athlete Services Kim Satterwhite. “Especially at a time when our regular Healthy Athletes events have been curtailed, this is a great way to remind athletes about the importance of healthy eating habits. And we are so proud of our athlete leaders for the role they are playing in this effort.”
