SUMMARY:2025 State Summer Games
DESCRIPTION:It’s the biggest weekend of the year! \nAthletes from across the state will return to Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond for the 30th consecutive year for the State Summer Games. \nAthletes will compete in bocce\, rhythmic gymnastics\, soccer and track and field at the Games\, but the competition is just part of the fun. Opening Ceremonies will be held on Friday Night. Olympic Town will give athletes a place to relax\, celebrate and play on Saturday. Saturday also includes the Healthy Athletes Wellness Village where athletes can get several free medical screenings. The Games end with a Closing Ceremony and Victory Dance! \n2025 Summer Games Tentative Schedule\nThursday\, June 5\n9:00 am-4:00 pm – Delegation Packet Pick-Up Open \nFriday\, June 6\n9:00 am – Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg Begins\n9:00 am-10:00 pm – Delegation Packet Pick-Up Open\n6:00 pm – Opening Ceremonies\n7:30 pm – Track and Bocce competitions begin \nSaturday\, June 7\n8:00 am – Competition begins\n10:00 am-2:00 pm – Olympic Town open\n10:00 am-2:00 pm – Healthy Athletes open\n7:30 pm – Closing Ceremony and Victory Dance

DESCRIPTION:Held in cooperation with Fayette County Public Schools\, MedFest gives students with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to receive sports physicals and dental\, vision and hear screenings free of charge. All services are preformed by trained medical personnel who volunteer their time to support the event. \nNon-students who qualify are also encouraged to attend the event. \nAnyone wishing to attend must register in advance.
