Young Athletes Program LogoYoung Athletes is an inclusive sports play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages 2 to 7. Young Athletes is designed to improve motor skills and development, enhance social emotional learning, and promote inclusion in individuals and communities! Young Athletes can be implemented in three different models (At Home, Community-Based, School-Based) and focuses on eight key skill areas ranging from Foundational all the way to Advanced Sports Skills. Each skill includes activities that are designed so that individuals of all ability levels can participate in a safe and meaningful way. The Young Athletes Program provides a unique environment in which parents and siblings can take an active role in their Young Athlete’s participation and development.
