Planned Giving enables a donor to arrange charitable contributions in ways to maximize his or her personal objectives while minimizing after-tax cost. Planned Gifts include gifts through your will, charitable gift annuities, gifts of life insurance, pooled income funds and charitable trusts.
- Bequests – You can make a charitable gift by naming Special Olympics Kentucky as a beneficiary in your will.
- Life Insurance – If you no longer need your life insurance that was purchased years ago to provide for children or other family members, you can donate the policy to Special Olympics Kentucky.
- Charitable Lead Trust – Individuals with very large estates can use a charitable lead trust to benefit Special Olympics Kentucky and pass principal to family members with little or no tax penalty.
- Retirement Plans – Your IRA assets will be transferred to a charitable remainder trust, the trust will provide life income to the beneficiary and then an eventual gift to Special Olympics Kentucky.
