Help Wawa Support SOKY Through March 1
Three Ways to Help Wawa Support Special Olympics at Four Wawa Locations
Wawa has been supporting Special Olympics Kentucky athletes for more than two years, even though they hadn’t opened their first store in the state until THIS July. Now, with four Kentucky stores were excited to participate in our first annual Wawa fundraising campaign.
Wawa locations throughout the country will be raising money for Special Olympics and their other charity partners from Dec. 29 until March 1. There are three ways to help at any Wawa store. You will be able to drop change in containers located at the checkouts, round up your purchase at the register or have them scan a code to add a $1, $3 or $5 donation to your order. Whichever you choose, you will be helping support Special Olympics athletes throughout the state.
You will also see Wawa volunteers and participants at the Lexington Polar Plunge and Louisville Polar Plunge in February.
Special Olympics is a national partner of Wawa and the Wawa Foundation. Wawa has been supporting Special Olympics programs in the states where they operate for more than a decade, regularly raising more than $1 million a year.
So stop by any of their Kentucky stores in January and February, pick up a great Wawa coffee, a hoagie, pizza or any of a number of delicious options and help them as they help support our athletes.
Their current Kentucky locations include:
Georgetown – 65 McClelland Cir.
Louisville-Bardstown Rd. – 4314 Bardstown Rd.
Louisville-Preston Crossing – 9650 Preston Crossing Blvd.
Nicholasville – 3000 Lexington Rd.
We are so thankful for the support our athletes have already received and we look forward to working with them for years to come.
