Worldwide Leader Once Again Offering Extensive USA Games Coverage
ESPN – The Worldwide Leader in Sports – will be more than just the host of the 2022 USA Games at its Wide World of Sports Complex. The ESPN family of networks will also once again offer hours of USA Games programming on ESPN, ESPN2, the ESPN App and on ABC.
First, ABCÂ will air the Opening Ceremonies on a delayed basis on Sunday, June 5. The broadcast will air from 1-2:30 pm on ESPN.
During the Games, ESPN will be offering many ways to keep up with the action in Orlando.
They are offering live streams of four full events – tennis, powerlifting and of most note to Team Kentucky fans track and field and the Esports Invitational. Four Kentucky athletes will be competing in track and field, and an Eastern Kentucky University-based Unified Esports team including athletes Nick Clevenger of Lexington, Shane Stull of Richmond and Hayden Redmon of Louisville and Unified partner Kagen Walters from EKU will compete in the Esports Invitational. All livestreams will be carried on ESPN3 and can be viewed on a computer or on an ESPN mobile or smart TV app. (NOTE: Not all events will be shown during the live stream, so all Team Kentucky athletes may not appear.)
Also during the Games, ESPN will air two highlight shows. The first will be on Tuesday, June 7, from 7-8 pm on ESPN2 and on the ESPN App. The second will be on Wednesday, June 8, from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm, again on ESPN2 and the ESPN App.
Their coverage closes with a one-hour Games wrap up on Sunday, June 12, from 1-2 pm (ET) on ABC and the ESPN App.
Of course, you will still be able to follow all of Team Kentucky’s activities here and on our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. And photos each day will be posted to our Flickr site. You can also download the official USA Games app for iPhone or Android and follow our athletes’ progress there.
