Bi-Annual Leadership Conference Provides Opportunity To Share Ideas And Strengthen Our Statewide Program

Special Olympics Kentucky will hold its bi-annual Leadership Conference Jan. 18-19, 2019. This year’s conference replaces the one that was snowed out in 2018.

Conference sessions will touch on everything from program bookkeeping, to handling medical emergencies, and how to use the SOKY logo in your local program.

The conference is open to all SOKY volunteers and is strongly recommended for local coordinators or local program directors.

Conference registration will open on Friday evening. Firday night will include options for a bocce clinic or first aid training. There will be a meet and greet that evening as well.

All conference sessions will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19. The day will include breakfast, general and breakout sessions and lunch. Special Olympics athlete leaders will be involved in the program throughout the event.

The Leadership Conference offers volunteers from throughout the state the opportunity to meet, share ideas and network.

Each attendee will also receive a conference gift.
