Event Returns to Richmond in 2025

Aliya White is one of three USA Games-bound gymnasts who will be in action at the State Artistic Gymnastics Competition.

The 2025 State Artistic Gymnastics Competition is on the move! The event will be held Sunday, November 16, at Excel Gymnastics in Richmond. Athlete march in and opening ceremonies will begin at 3 pm with competition beginning at 3:15. The Artistic Gymnastics Competition is actually returning to Richmond after more than a decade away. Excel Gymnastics hosted the competition for several years when artistic gymnastics was part of the State Summer Games.

More than 30 gymnasts will compete at the event, which will include floor exercise, balance beam, uneven bars and vault events for women and floor exercise, rings, pommel horse, parallel bars and high bar events for the men.

All three gymnasts who will represent Team Kentucky at next year’s Special Olympics USA Games in MinneapolisRacheal Connor, Lee Dockins and Aliya White – will be in action at the State Artistic Gymnastics Competition.

Kentucky offers one of the nation’s best Special Olympics gymnastics programs and Kentucky gymnasts have enjoyed tremendous success at both the USA and World Games.
