Screenings Available to All Athletes Whether Competing or Not

Healthy Athletes screenings have been part of the State Basketball Tournament experience for almost a decade. They’ll return once again with an expanded offering when the State Basketball Tournament tips on on Saturday, March 8, at MidAmerica Sports Complex in Louisville.

Screenings will be offered from 10 am-2 pm on one court at MidAmerican. This year will offer the most opportunities ever at the State Basketball Tournament. Planned screenings include: Health Promotions, including basic measurements, nutrition counseling, healthy habits discussions and tobacco avoidance information; Special Smiles dental screenings; Fun Fitness flexibility and functional strength assessments; Strong Minds stress management, comping skills and mental health information; and Fit Feet podiatry screenings.

The Healthy Athletes area is available to any athlete who wishes to take advantage of the opportunity whether or not their team is participating in the State Tournament or Team Skills Competition. Screenings will only be available on the Saturday of the Tournament.
