LETR to Host 5k on May 23

Join Law Enforcement to Support SOKY this Memorial Day Weekend

Law Enforcement Officers run with the Special Olympics Torch.
It may not end in at the Summer Games Opening Ceremonies, but the Law Enforcement Torch Run 5k gives you the chance to run with Law Enforcement and the Special Olympics Torch.

Join us for the Law Enforcement Torch Run 5K, a meaningful race that brings together runners, walkers, law enforcement officers, and community members in support of an incredible cause. This inaugural event serves as a powerful kickoff to the Special Olympics Kentucky Summer Games and celebrates the strength, determination, and spirit of over 6,000 athletes across the state.

Participants of all fitness levels are invited to run or walk this 5K course while standing alongside the dedicated law enforcement community that proudly supports Special Olympics athletes year-round. The Torch Run represents more than just a race—it’s a symbol of unity, inclusion, and the “Flame of Hope” carried into the opening ceremonies of the State Summer Games.

All proceeds from the event go directly to Special Olympics Kentucky, helping provide year-round sports training, competition, and life-changing opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Through your participation, you are helping athletes build confidence, develop skills, and experience the joy of competition and community.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply showing up to support a great cause, the Law Enforcement Torch Run 5K is your chance to make every mile matter. Lace up, get involved, and help us carry the flame forward.
