Once again this year, Kentuckians can help support Special Olympics athletes in the state via their state tax return form. Just write an amount in box 38(g) and that amount will go to support our athletes (the amount will be deducted from your tax return or added to your tax bill). All money contributed through the tax check off will help fund Special Olympics Kentucky programs statewide.

Through five tax seasons, donors have contributed nearly $85,000 to Special Olympics Kentucky through the state tax return box, making this an important source of funding to support our sports, health and community building activities.

The tax check box was approved for Special Olympics Kentucky during the 2015 Kentucky Legislative Session. The Legislature passed House Bill 178, which added Special Olympics Kentucky as a Tax Check Off option on the state forms.
